Christina Aguilera, her fellow The Voicecoaches Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, andBlake Shelton, producer Mark Burnett, and NBC executives Paul Telegady and Bob Greenblatt cover this week’s issue of THR.
Here is what the talent behind The Voice had to share with the mag:
Christina on how this show is different from other competition shows: “Bashing the performers for 30 seconds of TV might be juicy or interesting to the viewer, but I just wasn’t into all of that. [Mark Burnett] convinced me that that’s not what this is about.”
Christina on why she loves mentoring the talent: “It’s nice to have something so exciting in my life but not feel the pressure to be in the forefront as an entertainer myself.”
Adam on why he signed onto the show: “[I was] extremely hesitant at first … but given what’s going on in the record industry right now, I saw this show as a way to bring in new talent and give people a second, third or even fourth chance.”
