Jay-Z stepped out in NYC yesterday to attend the Music Visionary of the Year Award lunch held at the Pierre Hotel. It was his latest social engagement in a busy week. Jay-Z also met friends on Tuesday night for the opening of Broadway's much-delayed Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. His wife Beyoncé Knowles is back in the Big Apple after a recent trip to Europe. The past few days have also been big ones for Beyoncé, who ranked eighth on our 2011 PopSugar 100! We also have an exciting project in the works with the superstar ahead of the release of her new album 4. One lucky fan will be the winner of our contest to meet Beyoncé, so make sure to enter now!

Matt Damon and Jay-Z Make the Scene at Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark's Revamp
Matt Damon, his wife Luciana, and Jay-Z were among the famous faces in the audience last night at the debut of the newly revamped Broadway show Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Jay was spotted chatting up actress Gina Gershon backstage after Matt and Luciana posed for photos outside. The musical, which was plagued by cast injuries and bad press during its many preview performances, finally opened yesterday in front of the star-studded crowd. Bono, who partially financed the project and whose band U2 wrote music for the show, walked the red carpet, as did Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, while former president Bill Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea, mingled inside. The new version of the Spider-Man musical is getting mixed reviews, but is nonetheless scheduled to run through October.

Kanye & Akon's Bro ft. Jay-Z -- Sidewalk Hip-Hop Summit
Despite being some of the biggest -- and richest -- names in music, Kanye West, Akon's record exec look alike brother Bu Thiam, and Jay-Z kept it real and rolled unescorted through the streets of SoHo on Thursday.
